Our Sunday worship services are reflective of the diversity of our beliefs and practices and explore a wide range of themes.
Each service includes the lighting of our chalice (the symbol of our faith), singing several hymns, and readings that inspire us. Most services also include a sermon or reflection from our minister or guest speaker, but will on occasion be some kind of special program like a Flower Communion, our annual Children’s Pageant or a service project.
Children and families are always welcome. Every service includes a story for all ages, before children go to their own program. You can learn more about the Religious Education (RE) program in the Learning menu. Parents and guardians are always welcome to join their children during R.E. classes until everyone is comfortable, or children can stay in the worship service with their parent(s).
The service will last about an hour and we gather for some hospitality and social time after worship. On some Sundays we offer the opportunity to engage in a discussion about the sermon/reflection/topic of the service.
In months when there are 5 Sundays, which happens 4 or 5 times each year, we will typically gather for a service project rather than a worship service.
We send out an email announcement on the Thursday or Friday prior to each service with more information about our plans for the upcoming Sunday. Consider signing up to receive our weekly news list if you want to receive that.
